CareLedger

Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 25, 2026

CareLedger is provided by Derrick Rhodes (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy explains how CareLedger handles information when you use the app.

Information you may store

CareLedger lets you enter plan-year and contribution details; dependent and provider information; expense, payment, claim, and reimbursement details; notes; reference numbers; dates; and relationships between those records. Depending on what you choose to enter, this may include names, contact or address details, a provider tax identifier, dependent birth dates, and other sensitive records.

You may also select supporting documents from a Files location available to you. CareLedger copies the selected file into protected local app storage and records information such as its display name and document type.

Local processing and storage

Your CareLedger records are processed and stored locally on your device. CareLedger does not use a developer-operated account, backend, analytics service, advertising service, tracking service, or CloudKit synchronization service to receive this information. Recording a claim in CareLedger does not transmit it to a plan administrator.

Developer collection, sale, and sharing

We do not collect the information you enter into CareLedger. We do not sell, rent, or share that information with third parties because the app does not send it to us. A Files provider you choose when selecting a source document may operate under its own terms and privacy policy; CareLedger does not upload the local copy to that provider.

Documents and device backups

Imported supporting-document copies use iOS Data Protection and are excluded from device backup where implemented. The local app database is not similarly proven to be excluded from OS-managed device backup. Device backup and restore behavior is controlled by your operating system, device settings, and services you choose—not by a CareLedger developer server.

Your choices and deletion

You can edit or delete information where the app provides those controls. Some deletion can be restricted when related financial history exists so the record graph remains consistent. Removing the app may remove locally stored information, subject to your device's backup and restore behavior. Keep independent copies of records you are required to retain.

Information about dependents

CareLedger is intended for adults organizing dependent-care records. It may store information about dependents when an adult chooses to enter it. That information remains subject to the same local handling described in this policy and is not collected by us.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when CareLedger's practices change. An updated policy will be posted with a revised effective date.
